Yara Richter Inspired by motherhood, Yara’s work explores power struggles between the natural and the “man-made” through an intersectional, eco-feminist lens. She’s particularly interested in how contemporary Western society’s influence on the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual affects our mental health, sense of self, and our positioning of ourselves within a social and ecological system.

Her creative practice explores and combines poetry, photography and videography, electronic music production, and "automatic” single-line drawing.

Yara aims to dismantle boundaries between art, academia and ”the ordinary” by emphasising interactions between artist and audience. She invites audiences to reflect on distinctions and connections, in order to generate openness and respect for complexities.
